Restless

I found this song.... It's called Restless by Audrey Assad. It's really good. It's words are so true.

And I'm restless, I'm restless
'Til I rest in You, 'til I rest in You
I'm restless, I'm restless
'Til I rest in You, 'til I rest in You
Oh God, I wanna rest in You

We can only find true rest when we decide to rest in God.  Why do we waste our time trying to find comfort and rest in anything but God? It is so pointless, and a waste of our time. We won't truly find rest until we go to Him. It is so hard though, don't you think it would be easy? Easy to rest in someones arms as they hold us and take care of everything that is wrong. Why is that so hard for us? It has been said that people are lazy, and always trying to get someone else to do things for them. If this is so true, why do we fight God so much when he wants to take control? I don't understand it. I definitely do it myself, and I get so angry when I do. Why can't we just give up and rest in God's hands?

I feel that we are an afraid people. This is why we run from God so often to not find rest in Him.

He is always there by our side, never leaving. Do we ever take notice? No, because we are BLIND.
Sinners are blind to what is gracious and lovely.
We can't see beyond the sin we have created in our own lives because Satan has put that barrier there after we have made the choice(s) to sin.
We don't always realize that we have sinned, but when we feel the guilt or burdens building up within our hearts, that's when we definitely know we have done wrong.

God is a forgiving God who loves freely. He is free for us to love, put all our issues upon, and seek wisdom in. Yet, God is to be feared, despite the fact He loves. I think that's where us as humans get confused on how we should go and communicate with God because we are told to fear and love Him. People are in this continuous phase of, "I don't know what to do." on that subject. It's easily seen, and I know for a fact, personally, I've done it.
I do also believe that there are many of these misinterpretations because they have NOT read God's word! It clearly states on how we can communicate with God, put all our worries, burdens, prayers, love and praises unto Him all in love without fear because of the promise He has made to us. It speaks of fearing Him because of His wrath throughout the OT frequently because of what the people have done in those times that were very wrong in God's eyes. It's a warning simply of a, 'what not to do'.
If people would only read up more only about our God and Savior Jesus, they wouldn't be so afraid of finding rest in Him, nor the communication aspect. It ties in.

Prayer-out loud is vocalizing what you want to the God that you are not simply ashamed to believe in nor show the fact you believe in God, and love Him. Prayer, is communication of the relationship you have with Him. It's the only way to communicate with your God.

He hears everything. Can't expect every little prayer to be answered right away. This build the relationship in patience, faith, love, and perseverance.

Do not be restless. Find comfort in Him. Read through out Psalms, you'll find comfort in Him throughout that book so easily. I know I have, that's where He taught me to relax and take a breather for once.
-Great reading and meditation.

Thanks Makaya. I love reading Psalms, I think it might be my favorite book of the Bible. The words are so comforting, and true.
